Wenhaston Primary School

Autumn Term 2015

World Book Day 2015

Year 5 and 6 worked alongside the Green Light Woodland Trust to move some of our oak trees from the tree nursery down to an area of land on Blowers Common.

Reception and key stage 1 thoroughly enjoyed their share afternoon with their parents and friends. They made stockings, Angels and Holly Wreaths. The school is now looking very festive with all your beautiful decorations. The children really enjoy these special share sessions and are already looking forward to the next one.

Many Thanks to the wonderful support at our KS2 Autumn Share session. Our environmental art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy was creative and made full use of the natural resources within out local environment.

In July 2014 Reception and KS1 enjoyed a day at Foxburrow Farm, they explored the farm land and enjoyed learning about the Hungry Caterpillar as a part of their Activity Week.

Year 3 and 4 went to Eaton Vale on Friday 27th June 2014. They had lots of fun with the exciting activities.

Reception and KS1 had lots of fun during our Easter Bonnet parade and Egg Rolling Competitions.

Years 3 and 4 went to Merton Woods on Friday 21st March to create Bug hotels with the Local Woodland project group.

Children throughout school took part in Sport Relief. Children created a 'Sport Spud Bud' to take part in a running relay event.
