Paying for Additional Activities -
Charging and Remissions Policy
The Governing Body recognises the valuable contribution that the wide range of additional activities including: clubs, visits and residential experiences can make towards the enhancement of children’s educational and social development. There is a full range of Governors’ statements of policy covering all areas of the curriculum available from the office. The Governing Body aims to promote and provide such activities both as part of the curriculum and as optional extras. The Governing Body reserves the right to make a charge for the following classes of activities organised by the school:
The cost of materials, if parents have indicated in advance that they wish to own a finished product
The Governing Body may, from time to time, amend the above list. Nothing in this statement shall preclude the Governing Body from inviting parents to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of activities.
